IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY

It started with smoke and sauce. Demeris Bar-B-Q opened in 1964 in Houston, Texas — built on pit-smoked meats, loyal customers, and a reputation for the best BBQ in the city. Over six decades, that reputation grew into something bigger: Demeris Catering — now Houston's most versatile catering service, with a menu spanning 40+ items from our legendary BBQ to elegant fine dining. Whether you want ribs at a tailgate or a plated dinner at a corporate gala, Demeris does it all.

The Demeris family has been serving up its signature barbecue in Houston since 1964. As a natural evolution of the family business, Demeris Barbecue opened a catering division in the early 1980s. Since then, Demeris Catering has experienced rapid growth and is now the 3rd largest caterer in Houston according to the Houston Business Journal — capable of producing functions for as many as 20,000 people.

With more than a century of hospitality experience, you won’t find another team who can match the level of service and dedication the Demeris team can.

The current management team consists of the sons of our founder Gus Demeris.This includes Frankie and Yonny Demeris (his sons). Together, they run two Demeris restaurants in the Houston area as well as our catering division. These husbands and fathers are continuing the Demeris family traditions of exceptional quality and uncompromising service.

With more than 60 years in the Houston area, we are not only the premier Bar-B-Q institution, but the 'go to' for catering events, weddings and more.
